Andrews Paperboard Celebrates 30 Years in Business
Here at Andrews Paperboard, we're experiencing a gratifying combination of nostalgia and optimism as we
celebrate our
30th year in business. In March of 1975, we opened our doors to sell paperboard on behalf of several mill partners. As we look back on those early days and reflect upon the organization we've become, we can't help but be proud of the paths we've chosen for the journey.
Our earliest efforts to develop lasting and fruitful relationships with both our customers and our supplying mills enabled us to increase our sales multi-fold during our first decade. Our ability to quickly respond to our customers' demands has contributed to that growth as well. Throughout the years we've added various products that have enabled us to broaden our customer base as well as enhancing our current customers' variety of paperboard options.
In 1981, recognizing that many of our customers were frustrated with the long lead times and inconsistent quality associated with converted paperboard, we responded by adding our own cutting/converting operation. Jarvis Cutting, as that arm of the business was originally called, broadened our product line and enabled us to meet even the most demanding customer product specifications and delivery requirements. Our newly acquired ability to control quality and lead times further strengthened our already sound customer relationships.
With our expanded product line, we were able to devote ourselves fully to maximizing customer service. Our mission – to set the standard for the industry in service, quality and value – is reflected throughout our organization, especially in the efforts of our experienced and enthusiastic sales and customer service group. As a result of this emphasis, we are able to boast the shortest lead times in the Midwest on paperboard products.
As we look back on 30 years of business in the paperboard industry, and look forward to the next 30, we are grateful for the good fortune that has befallen us. We are particularly thankful for our customers, and are especially appreciative of the many who have been with us throughout our 30 years in business. Our dedicated employees, who work every day to promote the Andrews Paperboard vision, are another source of pride for us. Their commitment and devotion are keys to the success we've enjoyed over the past three decades.
